We continue with the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten), a modern architectural masterpiece featuring cobalt-blue tones and gold accents. Completed in 2016, the temple houses a stunning white seated Buddha and offers a serene, contemporary atmosphere that blends tradition and innovation.

We then head north to the legendary Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge. The site is located near Sop Ruak, where the Mekong and Ruak Rivers meet. Once a major hub of opium trade, it is now a historical and cultural attraction.

We visit the Wat Phra That Pu Khao, a hilltop temple offering panoramic views of the Golden Triangle and surrounding landscapes, and then continue to the Opium Museum, which provides deep insight into the region’s history with the opium trade and the impact on local hill tribe communities.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant during the excursion.
